  • When you have some dates left from Ramadan, spin them up into these energy bites. With the goodness of superfoods such as dates, nuts & seeds and coconut, these energy bites are surely a big NUTRITIONAL TREAT IN A SINGLE BITE! Plus, each ball is sooo damn filling!

Dates Energy Bites Recipe

Ingredients 
Dates (de-seeded) - 2 cups
Shredded fresh coconut - 1 cup
Nuts & seeds of your choice - 2 cups (Walnuts - 1/2 cup, cashews - 1/2 cup, almonds - 3/4 cup, flax seeds - 1/4 cup) 
Salt - 1/4 tsp

Method 
1. In a pan, add a tsp. of ghee and roast the coconut. This process is to increase the shelf life of the final product.
2. In a food processor or a mixer grinder, add the dates, nuts and the shredded coconut and grind it to a paste. 
3. Take a tablespoon of the paste, roll them into balls to make energy bites. You can even roll the energy bites in dry coconut powder

  • SEARED PRAWNS WITH ASPARAGUS
Many of my friends have taken up keto with amazing results to show. While I’m intrigued by the concept, I find the food less inspiring. Google keto and you’ll know what I mean.

So I gave myself a challenge: come up with a keto dish that’s both delicious and pleasing to the eye.
.
This is the result: pan-seared king prawn, fermented white asparagus (homemade), blanched green asparagus, lovage purée (homemade), asparagus sauce (homemade), and dill, sorrel, and Indian cress. All flora homegrown except for the asparagus.
.
I don’t like to brag (publicly at least) but this dish did taste very good. I might even serve it for non-ketonians 😉

Feeling grateful for nutrient dense foods from the farms with strong soils. 
This sign encourages me everyday to make good food choices for my body and my mind. Feeding the good gut microbes to continue my healing journey.   • Tried a Vegan mince that was GF made with a GF sauce and sauteed Brussels with shallots and chilli. Tasty and full of energy. Only really having two meat meals a week now, and notice I train better the day after meat free dinner.

Ingredients:

  • Strangely, I am the only one in our System who eats food 😲That's because I'm the only one alive. Well, Stan can eat too but he doesn't have to. But it was actually him who taught me to eat sprouts and other alive food. He taught me that eating dead food makes you feel dead, it's as simple as that. So here I am, sitting over a bowl of lentil sprouts and decided to take a picture of it :)

INGREDIENTS:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 x 14oz / 400g blocks firm tofu⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tbsp olive oil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 cup vegan buffalo sauce⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 stalks celery, diced (~½ cup)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 small red onion, diced (~½ cup)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 1/2 large carrots, peeled & diced (~½ cup)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 cup spinach, cut into ribbons⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/4 cup buffalo sauce⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 cup vegan mayo (avocado oil)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Trägt die Aprikose dann noch rote Bäckchen weil sie von der Sonne geküsst wurde und betört sie mich mit ihrem angenehmen Geruch dauert es nicht lange bis ich mich in das süße, fein säuerliche und würzige Fleisch verbeiße.

  • Vou te contar um pequena estoria sobre o porque das balls. Devemos prestar atenção no que vamos ingerir diariamente, pois nosso corpo reage a cada coisinha que colocamos para dentro. Há cerca de um ano atrás dei inicio a produção das balls pensando ainda mais na minha saúde. Nessa época estava com algumas restrições alimentares devido a uma debilidade no meu organismo e precisava de alimentos que gerassem energia para eu ter durante o dia, treino e que fossem super saudáveis.   • Yesterday, (Memorial Day), I began a juice feast / fast. This pear 🍐 from a few days ago was very ripe, sweet, juicy, and hydrating. There are many beneficial nutrients and vitamins in pears 🍐. Now I begin giving my body the most beneficial way to detox, cleanse, and giving my digestive system a break from digesting solid food by consuming all the juice I want to make myself, of any kind. I’ve been eating a lot of volume, which is somewhat normal on a raw food diet. So much banana nice cream 🍌 to name one, and calories are calories. 2 + 2 = 4. NOT 5. Although sometimes it’s 5, except when it isn’t. My body needs a break, and the energy that would normally be used to digest food will be going to other areas of the body to be used as a resource for healing and regeneration. Also, i may be giving up nutritional yeast bc after hearing one of my mentors saying it several times, it finally struck a cord to research this further. Nutritional yeast is grown in a lab, where yeast is grown on nutrient deficit foods, like sugar cane, beet molasses, and wood pulp. I read that it has “processed free glutamate”, which is glutamate acid that is freed from a protein source through a manufacturing process or fermentation. This process causes other byproducts and impurities to form. Processed free glutamate acts as an excitotoxin in the body, causes cells in our brain to become overly active, damaged and some neurons die from bouncing off of each other bc neuron receptors have become overstimulated. Excitotoxins have been known for causing serious brain degenerative damage, like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Every day is a new beginning, a chance to do better and improve upon yesterday. I haven’t set a date to break my fast, all I know is that it will be 10 days minimum, and probably more. 🌱🥤

To make:
- Soak 1/3 cup oats in boiling water. Cover the oats and add about 1/2 inch more water.
- When the oats have soaked up the water add to a high speed blender with 50ml almond milk, a frozen banana, a handful of frozen strawberries, half a plum and a pinch of cinnamon and flaxseed. You could add a date in here too if you'd like it sweeter.
- Blend until it's thick & smooth and add to glasses and top with strawberries and plums, granola and almond butter - Enjoy!

Wow! Last few days were so intense! I had the worst food poisoning from eating something at a snow resort! 🙅‍♀️Not good! 
Im slowly getting myself together and adding the good stuff back into my body to gain back my energy. 
Staying away from any meat or fish for a while and keeping it super green! 
Another good lesson that home cooked meals are so important!! 🥑🥬🍓
