The beauty is, this colour is non commit & low maintenance as I won’t see her for 10-12 weeks and if she wants to go back lighter for summer we can!! _

.
La nascita dei protocolli sanitari
.
Nella foto sopra possiamo vedere è Florence Nightingale (1820-1910), nota anche come Lady with the Lamp (la signora con la lampada).

A campaign has begun to recognise nurses with an official nurse emoji.

Laura Cain’s petition, launched on #InternationalNursesDay, has more than 3,000 signatories.

Currently when you type “nurse” a doctor emoji appears.
Do you support #officialnurseemoji?

Petition originator Laura Cain says: 'I have created this petition in the hope that it might reach the ear of Unicode Consortium (the group who select emojis used by smartphones) and Apple and would be so grateful if they might very kindly consider creating and releasing an official nurse emoji. 'It would be fantastic to have a sequence of emojis that are inclusive of gender, race and ethnicity. This would allow all nurses, members of the nursing profession and everyone to use this with their colleagues, family and friends worldwide and I’m sure it would be one very well used emoji'

  • Ever heard of 'INFIBULATION'?
.
Also called FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) is the practice of excising the clitoris and labia of a girl or woman and stitching together the edges of the vulva to prevent sexual intercourse. It is the complete scrappin of vagina and stitching it together to prevent the girl from having sex. The vagina is sealed leaving a small hole for the girl to menstruate or urinate.
.
FGM is usually performed by traditional circumcisers; women who have a high reputation within their societies. It is also performed by traditional midwives and occasionally by healers, nurses or doctors trained in Western medicine. The procedure is usually performed without anaesthetic and under dreadful and unhygienic circumstances. Usually razors, knives, scissors or a piece of broken glass, which are mostly not disinfected.
.
The girl's legs are tied with rope for days so that the wound can heal. It usually take 15 to 40 days for the wound to heal. During this period the girl's legs remain tied and she is prevented from moving.
.
Basically, the stitches are meant to be reopen by her husband on the wedding night so he can have intimate with her. Imagine someone opening stitches and immediately having sex with her. Just imagine the pains, I mean serious pains!! Imagine the traumatic experience, the pains the girl will pass through.
.
Is it not better to allow her decide if she will marry as a virgin or not than to do this?
At birth many women have to be cut again because the vagina opening is too small for the passage of the baby. It also causes urinary tract infections in women, fistulae and infertility etc.
.
This unethical practice is still prevalent in the tribal communities of South Africa. Other than that, people from these communities when migrate to other control keep this unethical practice alive. .#nurse #nursesday #kerala #malayalam #mallu #malayalamtrolls

  • The biggest rewards in life are found outside your comfort zone. Live with it. Fear and risk are prerequisites if you want to enjoy a life of success and adventure.

👩🏼‍🦰👱🏻‍♀️👧🏼
We did have a lot of differences, culture, lifestyle and all. 🌈I admit there’s a lot of adjustments from our side and from yours as well when we live together.
🌱However, we did not let those differences define how we treated one another with respect and humility. 🏡Instead, you never hesitated to always sat down and talked to us about about life, insecurities, frustrations, work, travel, food, making your dreams happen and vice versa.
🐶Thanks for sharing Ted ted with us. It does help a lot coming home from work and having a dog waiting excitedly wagging its tail whilst looking at you with those adorable brown eyes is such a eustress. Tere and I will definitely miss his claws knocking our door in the early hours of morning or barking randomly at us to give him food.
🐲My biggest take away knowing you is how you make things work seems so easy and that you’re never afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. You’re always on the go and not afraid Nor scared to try new things.
Way to go Jenny. 🇵🇭🇺🇸🇳🇿

  • Happy International Nurses Day! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Nurses are incredible humans. I am everything I am today as an anesthesiologist because of nurses that nurtured my growth as a doctor. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I am so fortunate to work with amazing nurses day in and day out. Work doesn’t seem like a job when one is amongst friends. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I want to especially thank Marilyn and Marlene. I had the pleasure of meeting these seasoned PACU nurses during my intern year at the University of Michigan. In addition to sharing their valuable experiences with me, they took me under their wing, cooked me Filipino delicacies, were my shoulders to cry on, and gave the best hugs. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
They became family and I call them my Michigan moms. ♥️⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This was the last photo I took with them. It was a few days before we moved back home to Wisconsin. They knew of my struggles to start a family, and it was such a joy to watch them with Harrison. 💙💛⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Marilyn and Marlene. Thank you. I love and miss you both. You deserve to be celebrated every single day. A day and a week is simply not enough for all that you have done for me and the countless interns and residents that learned so much from you both. ⁣Go Blue! ⁣

⁣Go Blue! ⁣

  • On #InternationalNursesDay, we thank and recognize our frontline healthcare heroes, across our blue planet, by naming our newest sea turtle patient in honor of the founder of modern day nursing, Florence Nightingale. Our newest patient, Nightingale arrived only a few days before the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth (today). This large, juvenile loggerhead sea turtle arrived to us from FPL’s St. Lucie site. The turtle suffers from chronic debilitation and is very anemic. To treat the turtle, our rehab staff have placed the turtle on parenteral nutrition, which will hopefully help speed up its recovery.

To our frontline healthcare heroes, we thank you for fighting for global health! More than ever, we’ve seen that we all are part of a global community connected by the air we breathe, land at our feet, and water we drink. From our coast to yours, our hearts are with you.
