Jokes aside, I'm getting better at self compassion. Much better than I used to be anyway!

I've also had a medication change this week (well, I've stopped one of my meds) and have had withdrawals, but not as bad as I thought. .
Some insomnia, overall lethargy and an increase in anxiety, but I've had worse.
.
I also walked through the woods on my own (with Teddy) for the first time today 😁 .
I'm determined to become the explorer my inner child is longing me to be!

  • What does a panic attack REALLY look like and how can you stop one? 
Panic attacks often come without a warning. It is sudden and overwhelming, leaving you with both physical and emotional symptoms. 
A panic attack is not the same with everyone. Some people experience it through:
✔️Trembling
✔️Heavy sweating
✔️Labored breathing
✔️Heart palpitation 
Experiencing these symptoms all at once can be scary. But, don't worry! 
Here are some techniques that can help you you feel calmer if you think you're having a panic attack:
👍Close your eyes, then take slow and deep breaths.
👍Be aware that you're having a panic attack and that IT WILL PASS.
👍Stay calm by focusing on one single object or picturing a happy place.
👍Relax your muscles one by one.
👍Speak a mantra that you find reassuring! 
There are many ways to stop a panic attack, Find a routine that works for you and stick with it!
