  • Today's workout consists of 4 short and fast intervals, the first interval lasting for 2 minutes and the final lasting 3 minutes.  There are 2 minutes of rest between the intervals.

At the beginning of each interval athletes will complete the double unders and lateral dumbbell burpees. They will then complete as many Devil's Press as possible with the remaining time.

The workout will continue until you have finished 50 total Devil's Press. Your score is the total time  it takes to complete the 50 #DevilsPresses.

The Devils Press is a combination of a dumbbell burpee and a double dumbbell snatch. The chest should make contact with the floor on each rep, stand up and swing the dumbbells overhead without pausing at the shoulders.

For the purposes of this workout, choose a moderate weight that allows you to complete at least 10+ reps within each interval.

With short intervals and rest built in, look to move with a purpose through each round. The numbers on the jump rope and burpees are pretty small, allowing you to turn the brain off a bit and focus on speed.

Once you get to the Devil's Press, look to settle into a strong rhythm.  Because efficiency is key here, it can be helpful to mark a spot on the floor with tape or chalk for your dumbbells, allowing you to easily find the ideal spot for them when going into the next rep.

Being just 1-2 seconds more efficient over the course of 50 reps can be the difference of almost 1-2 minutes when all is said and done.

A good way to approach this workout is to move fast, work hard, and then recover.

. Éviter de tourner les paumes de mains vers l'avant ou vers le haut, vous aurez tendance à lever les mains avant les coudes. En gardant les paumes vers le sol et en levant les coudes en priorités, vous allez avoir un meilleur recrutement du deltoïde moyen et donc optimiser votre entraînement. .
. Autre point, il faut éviter de trop balancer votre dos pour lever les halteres. C'est un exercice d'épaules et non dorsaux. .

Dein Körper gehört Dir, Du entscheidest was Du damit machst...mein Job ist es, aufzuklären und Dir Strategien an die Hand zu geben, um möglichst körpermittefreundlich zu trainieren.

Eine Studie aus dem Jahr 2007 untersuchte was für Drücke im Bereich des Beckenbodens bei Frauen in unterschiedlichen Übungen/Belastungen enstehen: beim Joggen zb.gab es Frauen mit kaum Druck (27 cmH2O) und welche mit viel Druckentstehung(73 cmH2O), beim Crunch differierten die Drücke zwischen 8-75!
Beim Springen gab es noch größere Unterschiede zwischen 43-252 cmH2O🤔  Was zeigt uns das? 
Die Fähigkeit, Drücke im eigenen Körper optimal zu verteilen ist sehr individuell und wenn sie nicht optimal ist, potenziert sich der Druck zb im Bereich Beckenboden und macht dort Beschwerden... Mein Ansatz ist es, nicht unbedingt, die Übung/Belastung zu verteufeln, sondern mit Dir ein besseres Druckmanagement zu erarbeiten #trainthebrain👍

Il mondo del fitness e dell’allenamento a circuito è ricco di acronimi che non fanno altro che creare confusione riguardo alle varie metodiche utilizzate per chi non è del settore. Andiamo ad analizzare alcuni allenamenti e a raggrupparli in un glossario che possa aiutarvi a comprenderli meglio.​

🔴 AMRAP: “As Many Reps As Possible”, consiste nel ripetere più giri possibili di un determinato circuito di esercizi nel tempo stabilito (solitamente 10’/12’).​
​
🟢 EMOM: “Each Minute On Minute”. Per questo allenamento basta impostare un timer di 1’ entro cui svolgere gli esercizi e le ripetizioni assegnate (tendenzialmente 2/3 esercizi). Se concludete prima di 1’, il tempo restante è il vostro recupero.​
​
🟠 TABATA: prende il nome dallo scienziato giapponese che lo ha ideato e fa parte del grande macrogruppo degli HIIT. ​
Consiste nell’esecuzione di 8/9 ripetizioni (circa 20’’ di attività) alla massima intensità, intervallate da 10’’ di recupero passivo per un lavoro complessivo di circa 4’. Buona metodica per avvicinarsi alla soglia anaerobica.​

Have you had a dream of creating something special?

Well that’s how Tribe MVMNT started 9 years ago, with a dream of creating something special, one willing participant and a rock.
.
Yes a rock that I made that one client workout with, on a grass & gumnut covered space in the heat of summer and freezing cold of winter.
.
We were originally called HorsePower strength and conditioning and we used to train out the back of our home in council owned land, with only a spotlight to light the area at night.  We trained rain, hail or shine with very limited equipment other than a few kettlebells, some old kegs, battle ropes and some slam balls and it was mainly body weight movements. .
A dream had been started.
.
From that one client and rock we multiplied and grew to a strong Tribe of hardworking and fun people. Not long after and we had over 50 people training with us & that’s when CrossFit Wangaratta was born and we moved into our first brick & mortar building.
.
We bought some weight lifting bars, weight plates, a couple of rowers and even had a toilet and real lights, no gum nuts.
.
We quickly outgrew our first venue within the first 12 months of opening and moved into a bigger newer building which we are still currently in, this was also our first real lease.
.
It was then My wife and I decided to go all in and quit our full time jobs and by this stage we also had 3 young kids in tow so our dream had to work.
.
Almost 12 months ago we changed our name to Tribe MVMNT, we believe the name represents what we have created, a Tribe of hard working individuals all striving to create their change in a community environment with like minded Tribe members.
.
Who would have thought that a dream, a rock and one person 9 years ago would lead to what is now known as Tribe MVMNT where we continue to display and represent our 3 LLLs

  • If you want to elevate the bar as high as possible, extend your body as much as possible keeping the bar close. 
Your arms will not set a heavy bar in an upward motion and at no point from lifting the bar off the floor to full extension should you pull with the arms.
