Today I spend a lot of time on my Android studio assignment. Try to find out how to work with different sensor.
Almost finish my daily life page design, I will finish converting it into code by this weekend.

For rest of the day, I will keep learning SwiftUI.

  • 💥Day 91 Of #100DaysOfCode 💥

So, today I watched the token based authentication course by @VueMastery honestly I love the course. I will be implementing some things I learnt in my @YouTube clone app.
I learnt how to block malicious user from getting into your protected area in your app.
A malicious user might put in a wrong token and gain access to your protected area, but wouldn't be able to do anything though. But he/she could see the various routes in your app. That's bad.

But I learnt how to blocked that from happening using axios interceptors to check the error response status and redirect the user.

  • 𝐌𝐢𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞:

Two days now using only my laptop, no any other screen. And So far I have mixed feelings. I gain in focus, that’s true, but I lose a lot of time changing from one window to the other one.

So I think I’m not ready yet to decide what’s best for me.

What about you? Will you sacrifice Multitasking for Focus?
Let me know in the comments.

Gogs написан на Go (собственно, это название представляет собой сокращение от Go Git Service).

поддержку протоколов HTTP(s) и SSH;
поддержка русского языка;
поддержку SMTP и LDAP;
возможность создания как приватных, так и публичных репозиториев;
интеграцию с социальными сетями (пока что поддерживаются GitHub, Google+, а также китайские сервисы QQ и Weibo);

⁣
¿Tu empresa cuenta con un antivirus? 🙋🏽‍♀️ ⁣

  • Credit -> @justinbieshaar Writing utilities 👨‍💻
Utilities are extremely useful throughout your developing process. It will speed up your development and will also make your code much more readable if you setup your utilities right!

But when do you make a utility?
I always make utilities if I notice I am rewriting the the same process twice in a project, or when I am sure I will have to rewrite a certain process multiple times!

Example, making a button in Phaser 3:
Normally you'll have to add an image. Make the image interactive. Change image on: pointer_over, pointer_down_ and pointer_exit. And at last apply a function on clicked.

These are quite a few steps to do for every button. So instead make a utility for this process!
The utility will then be: util.CreateButton(this, sprites, xPosition, yPosition, onClick);
This will create image, position, make it interactive and handle all functionalities!

So, try to help yourself, when you notice you rewrote the same process, make a method out of it to automate it! 🙌
When you rewrote it in multiple files, make a utility!

There are lots of other ways to use and make utilities, but this is one of many I wanted to point out to you! 😇

Happy coding everyone! ✨

Have you ever heard about the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO Toolkit? OpenVINO toolkit provides a set of pre-trained models that you can use for learning and demo purposes or for developing deep learning software. It's an open-source library useful for edge deployment due to its performance maximizations and pre-trained models.⁣
⁣
Most of the pre-trained models supplied by OpenVINO fall into either face detection, human detection, or vehicle-related detection. I'm currently experimenting with some of the available models and find it extremely interesting! Can't wait to show you some results! ⁣

  • This is probably the best keyboard I have ever used. Do you have something without which, life would be a little different?

Hear me out

I love technology. I admire hours engineers spend to make the perfect product and services
I feel like the best product are ones which are neglected by general public.
But the moment they try something else, you immediately feel... something is missing

That’s exactly what this over engineered piece of tech does

Whenever I use another computer,
I miss my keyboard
I miss the smooth finger trackpad
I miss the MagSafe

When you use it daily, you neglect it.
When you don’t have it, you miss it.

At this point, companies can change what ever they want, and customers will pay

It’s an addiction

Do you agree?

Follow me at @AliCoderMaker for more Python, Django and building side projects. Tips, Tricks and general discussion!

    But the moment they try something else, you immediately feel... something is missing

    That’s exactly what this over engineered piece of tech does

    Whenever I use another computer,
    I miss my keyboard
    I miss the smooth finger trackpad
    I miss the MagSafe

    When you use it daily, you neglect it.
    When you don’t have it, you miss it.

    At this point, companies can change what ever they want, and customers will pay

    It’s an addiction

    Do you agree?

    Follow me at @AliCoderMaker for more Python, Django and building side projects. Tips, Tricks and general discussion!

Are you familiar with the Sails framework for backend?
—
As I mentioned before, my diploma project consists in an automatic pet feeder. For this project I need a server that ensure the communication between the hardware components and the mobile app. I chose Sails for implementing this server.

As you can find on their website, Sails is the most popular MVC framework for Node.js, designed to emulate the familiar MVC pattern of frameworks like Ruby on Rails, but with support for the requirements of modern apps: data-driven APIs with a scalable, service-oriented architecture.

The main reason why I chose Sails is its powerful ORM which provides a simple data access layer that just works, no matter what database you're using.

In your opinion, what is the best framework for the backend?

  • I design tests which debug software and hardware for ground support spacecraft systems. I have always loved electronics and being able to use then to debug code has been so much fun!

  • credit • @simongrimm_ Finally again a day with some client work 🎉⁣
⁣
Most days lately feel like Groundhog Day. I’m following my planned tasks and routines and nothing really unexpected happens 🤷🏻‍♂️⁣
⁣
While I usually enjoy when things stay like they are (hello Sheldon!) I also kinda enjoyed working on a different client project again today 💪🏻⁣
⁣
But besides that I also made progress on my book, and I’m getting more excited with every finished chapter 😍⁣
⁣
🙌 Do you also feel like your days are currently mostly the same??⁣

  • How to get better at web development? 🤔
-
This question comes up a huge amount of times and I answer it in DMs a lot!
One mistake I see all the time when it comes to beginners is to just pile up on new courses and go through them all, starting a new one as soon as you finish the last one.
-
Don't get me wrong, courses are great. But you really have to put to practice the skills that you are learning on those courses. Otherwise, you'll forget half (or more) of what you learned on those courses.
Some of them already have exercises and projects for you to practice. But I suggest that you take it a step further and create custom stuff with what you just learned.
-
I personally never had much patience and motivation to keep watching courses. I rather prefer to start random projects, that are fun and motivating for me, and learn through them. When you do this, you'll eventually find a lot of problems/blockers/bugs and finding your way around them is what makes you a better developer.
-
And what projects should you do? Well the list is infinite. You can simply copy a design you like from Dribbble and implement it yourself, build a calculator, a to-do list, a movie library, a music player, a mini copy of a platform like Facebook, Twitter, AirBnb or Youtube, a webapp where users can make pizzas, an app where you use the user's geolocation, etc. As long as it's fun and challenging for you, you're good to go!
-
How about you, what do you prefer to get better? Watch courses, build projects or both? 🤓✌️
