  • Ce soir il me tient à cœur de partager avec vous la différence entre le jugement et le discernement. Pourquoi sommes-nous en permanence entrain de juger ? « Elle est trop maigre » .. « elle est moche ».. « quelle prétentieuse ! ».. notre mental a son avis sur tout ! C’est normal, le fait de juger ou de critiquer nous rassurent nous-mêmes. Malheureusement cela ne fonctionne pas et c’est souvent l’inverse. Nos jugements parlent autant de nous que de ceux que nous critiquons. Les réseaux sociaux  sont un déversoir de critiques non fondées en tout genre. C’est dommage ! Ne jugeons pas mais privilégions le discernement intelligent. Il paraît que la bienveillance améliore notre santé mentale, physique et émotionnelle.

  • ♡ We all have triggers...things or people that prompt our nervous system to go into stressmode, into fight, flight or freeze.

If you want to work with trauma and your physiological changes, it is important to know what your triggers are and what those triggers look and feel like. Only if you are aware you can start working with them.

But how do you find or identify your triggers? Truly, it is a matter of exploration...of becoming, at first, more or less hyper-aware of your body and your emotional responses to things that happen around you. Its about noticing subtle and big changes in your physiology (heartrate, breathing, temperature, muscletone), your body (physiological but also posture, tension, aches and pains, cravings), your emotional state and your behaviour.

At first you might find that you have been
triggered and you've gone through it all and are back in your normal state again, even before you truly were aware of what was happening. Thats ok, just go back in time. Rewind. Replay the situation and methodically and carefully go over everything that happened outside of you and inside of you. Pay attention to the details. Where were you, who was around you, what smells/noises were there, how did you feel, were you comfortable or uncomfortable? What triggered your sense of unsafety?

Then, explore further: what changed in the situation? What/who did you see, hear, smell, taste, touch or feel? Identify: what was the actual trigger? And then what happened inside of you? Name all changes you can remember. Then see if you can connect what happened or how it made you feel to a situation from the past, from earlier trauma.

This is how you identify triggers. Its a process and often ongoing. The more you do this and the more you are aware and exploring, the easier it will get to identify your triggers. Give it time, stay curious, dont forget about the details and have an open mind ♡
