Un nuovo studio di Mackenzie-Shalders et al. (2020) ha messo in evidenza l'effetto dell'allenamento con i pesi sul dispendio energetico a riposo. A confronto del solo allenamento aerobico o di un allenamento misto aerobico/anaerobico, il resistance training si è dimostrato superiore nello stimolare il RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate). 🔹

Un falso mito molto diffuso nell'ambiente del fitness afferma che un aumento della massa muscolare comporta automaticamente anche un aumento del metabolismo a riposo. In verità il tessuto muscolare consuma a riposo solo 17-20 kcal/kg (un consumo non molto alto), a differenza della maggior parte degli organi interni (cuore, reni, cervello, fegato) che hanno un consumo energetico a riposo considerevole (60-70% del metabolismo basale). Avere un quantitativo maggiore di massa magra è fondamentale principalmente perché viene favorito un miglior partizionamento ed una migliore metabolizzazione dei nutrienti ingeriti. 🔹

Anche se lo studio in questione prensenta delle limitazioni (a detta degli stessi autori), l'allenamento con i sovraccarichi resta comunque la tipologia di lavoro preferenziale in ottica di dimagrimento/ricomposizione corporea, perché garantisce un maggior preservamento della massa magra in ipocalorica e permette di mantenere un dispendio energetico più alto anche a riposo. 🔹

Piriformis is a small muscle located deep in your buttocks underneath the gluteus maximus (the bigger glute muscle).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When glutes and piriformis are tight, they can cause sore lower back and hamstrings, poor balance and in some cases even shooting nerve pain down the leg due to sciatica. So, it's good to stretch these muscles!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It increases heart rate, which pumps more oxygen to the brain. 
It also aids the bodily release of a plethora of hormones, all of which participate in aiding and providing a nourishing environment for the growth of brain cells!

Omnivor beslenmenin yaygınlaşmasından önce “Avcı ve Toplayıcı Dönemlerde Enerji Gereksinimi”birbirinden farklı yollardan sağlanmaktaydı. Yağların ve Karbonhidrat metabolizmasının evrimsel sürecini anlamak için avcı ve toplayıcı dönemleri incelemek gerekecektir. Ve bu dönemlerin, enerji alımı ve kullanımı açısından metabolik yolları geliştirdiği düşünülmektedir. Her iki dönem açısından benzer özellik enerji kullanımı oldukça minimumdur. Bu iki metabolik yoldan elde edilen ürün (karbonhidratların glikoz sürecine katılması – yağların parçalanması) Asetil CoA formunda mitokondriye ulaşmaktadır. Enerji kullanan hücrelerin sağlık/potansiyel durumu mitokondrilerin ne miktarda Asetil CoA işlediği ile ilgilidir.

  • Today was about getting out and trying something new!

I’ll be honest and admit I’m not a very fit/active person. I’ve never really been into sports or anything but for my birthday I asked for a bike, and today I finally got one! .

I wasn’t the best on the hills that’s for sure, and had to walk a couple but I kept going and definitely enjoyed the fresh air and scenery with my husband. I’m still working from home which means I don’t leave the house all week which has had me very anxious, so today was fun. It was fresh. It was new. I stayed off my phone, I visited some family in town and just enjoyed the day. I feel content and refreshed. .

I very rarely do things out of my comfort zone but today I did and I’m glad I did. My body might hurt tomorrow but it’ll be worth it. I can’t wait to ride again and build muscle and fitness and just feel free riding down the hills with the fresh air hitting my face and clearing my mind and body 🚲🌿 .

    I very rarely do things out of my comfort zone but today I did and I’m glad I did. My body might hurt tomorrow but it’ll be worth it. I can’t wait to ride again and build muscle and fitness and just feel free riding down the hills with the fresh air hitting my face and clearing my mind and body 🚲🌿 .
