  • Saturdays are for weddings...well normally 😅 💫 ⠀
⠀
Unlike many other African countries, where I feel like their traditional outfits can be worn everyday and it could totally be acceptable and comfortable ... I feel like our Rwandan traditional outfits are worn for those specific special occasions, at least that’s my opinion, I don’t think I would wear my mushana everyday unless I have an event everyday or a job that requires me to do so even then I wouldn’t... ⠀
⠀
⠀
As I grow older, I however love wearing it, I used to fight it, yes I know super silly right!!! I grow to love my tradition more and I can’t wait to try different colors and even learn how the materials flows and all, grateful to my G @no_ellaa for helping me choose my first & most important one only in 2014, which I wore every time I had an event until I decided to enjoy this traditional side of me but I guess the truth is all my friends were getting married and I had to start looking different 😂!⠀
⠀
What I got to love the most is to innovate with how my mushanana looks and making it funky & fashionable, grateful to @moses.rw to make it even more outstanding and different every time I ask him one for the weddings, I will be attending...⠀
⠀
Watch out for my stories for more of those beautiful outfits because an event isn’t done alone, I will be featuring my gorgeous friends 🥰 so @mines88 fun is ON 🧚🏾‍♀️ .... Make up is often done by this gorgeous man, @ivanmugemanyi from @tamiimbeauty who flies out all the way from brussels to make all of us look totally ready for a tradi catwalk .. check them out 🤎
