1 rep may not seem like that much over 12 months however the biggest takeaways of progression for me in these videos....
1. I’m 3 kgs lighter and leaner now and performing more reps.
2. Reps are consecutively faster and I think look stronger.
3. I personally feel more complete and stronger not only physically but more so mentally. 
In all things in life let you actions run in line with your words and you will truly show your values and integrity.

  • Lockdown for me has been about getting stripping body fat...not having the equipment to lift heavy has meant that I have had to focus on more reps and intensity. Still a way to go but I am 5lbs down. Didn’t have a before pic unfortunately 🙄 started at 13st 11 and now 13st 6 !

  • Some puhuttaa kehonkuvan osalta ihan jokaista, jollain tapaa. Olisi ihan parasta ja mahtavaa jos oma motivaatio liikkua ja syödä terveellisemmin lähtisi nimenomaam terveyden näkökulmasta. 
Yksinkertaiset peruspalikat soveltuvat kaikille eikä ihan oikeasti tarvita jonkun ruoka-aineen rajoittamista, purkkikaupalla lisäravinteita tai nälissään kitumista.

Niin moni ravaa puntarilla päivittäin ja määrittää onnistumisensa asioissa sen mukaan mihin suuntaan "viisari värähtää". Puntari on hyvä työkalu pitkällä tähtäimellä painonpudottajalle, mutta muistakaa hyvät ihmiset ettei se kerro mitään kehonkoostumuksesta tai vartalon muista mitoista. Kaiva mittanauha ja kamera esiin ja käytä niitä.

Jokaisella on omat kauneusihanteensa. Itse tykkään atleettisesta vartalosta ja viihdyn siinä itse parhaiten. Toinen tykkää kunnon kurveista, joku haluaa olla todella hoikka ja toinen kunnon lihaskimppu. Kaikki nämä on ok,kunhan muistaa ettei anna ulkoisen olemuksen määrittää ihmisiä ja pyrkii elämään sisäinen terveysaspekti edellä. Ja jos terveys ei kiinnosta sua paskan vertaa niin silloin on hyväksyttävä että edessä saattaa olla ongelmia tulevaisuudessa- sekin on sun oma valinta

Nautin treeneistä, verenmausta suussa tekemisestä, välillä kituuttamisestakin, itkuista treenin päätteeksi sekä onnistumisen kyyneleistä. Nautin siitä että tunnen eläväni ja tekeväni asioita, pystyväni. Kisadieetillä ollessa vain helposti jää muu elämä elämättä ja nyt pystyn haastamaan itseäni samalla tavalla kuin kisatessa, syödä jäätelön ja lähteä matkustamaan ilman kalenteria tai vaakaa.

Hyvässä kunnossa ja energisenä sekä ennenkaikkea terveenä voi pysyä ihan omassa arjessa. Ilman pussikeittoja, spirulina-tabletteja,ruoka-vaakaa tai kisatavoitetta. 
Pienempiin farkkuihin mahtuminen ei määritä sua mitenkään millääntavalla, kukaan ei oleta että painat samanverran kuin lukiossa ollessasi, kukaan ei paheksu jos syöt kakkua serkun synttäreillä tai jätät tänään lenkin välistä.

Sillä että olet terve ja voi hyvin on eniten merkitystä. Se on pohja kaikelle. Rakenna siihen päälle se sun oma kulkuväline, sun keho. Se voi olla millainen vaan, kunhan nautit siitä itse ja annat muidenkin nauttia omastaan.

    Nautin treeneistä, verenmausta suussa tekemisestä, välillä kituuttamisestakin, itkuista treenin päätteeksi sekä onnistumisen kyyneleistä. Nautin siitä että tunnen eläväni ja tekeväni asioita, pystyväni. Kisadieetillä ollessa vain helposti jää muu elämä elämättä ja nyt pystyn haastamaan itseäni samalla tavalla kuin kisatessa, syödä jäätelön ja lähteä matkustamaan ilman kalenteria tai vaakaa.

    Hyvässä kunnossa ja energisenä sekä ennenkaikkea terveenä voi pysyä ihan omassa arjessa. Ilman pussikeittoja, spirulina-tabletteja,ruoka-vaakaa tai kisatavoitetta.
    Pienempiin farkkuihin mahtuminen ei määritä sua mitenkään millääntavalla, kukaan ei oleta että painat samanverran kuin lukiossa ollessasi, kukaan ei paheksu jos syöt kakkua serkun synttäreillä tai jätät tänään lenkin välistä.

    Sillä että olet terve ja voi hyvin on eniten merkitystä. Se on pohja kaikelle. Rakenna siihen päälle se sun oma kulkuväline, sun keho. Se voi olla millainen vaan, kunhan nautit siitä itse ja annat muidenkin nauttia omastaan.

In this video I talk about how weight belts work, some common mistakes people make and when to use them.

Weight belts work by increasing intra-abdominal tension, acting like a "second set of abs" which can help support our lower back and enhance lifting performance. 
This belt will not work if you just put it on and not brace, you need to learn how to brace properly in order for this tool to be beneficial to your training.

A lot of the evidence is very old regarding weight belts, but some evidence shows an increase in erector spinae activity, increasing lower back support, as well as moving heavy weight faster through larger ROM. 
Its also beneficial to know that belts will not produce as much of an effect if you are lifting under 80% of your 1RM. 📚Bauer JA. et al. 1999. The use of lumbar supporting belts while performing squats 📚 Zink AJ. et al. 2001. The effects of weight belts on trunk and leg muscle activity during squats.

  • With the gyms reopening, I figured it was a great time to address how to start back up again safely and effectively:⁣⁣

• Don’t jump back to lifting the same weight you were before quarantine. You may feel excited, but you’re not at the strength you were before (unless you have a badass home gym set up like @therock). Take time to build your strength back up and avoid injury which will only cause more setbacks.🙅🏽‍♀️⁣⁣

• Be patient and follow your program. If you’re anything like me, you’ve been out of the gym for almost 3 months and you wanna do everything in sight. Don’t. Take it a bit at a time, it’ll all still be there in a week and even a month!⁣⁣

• Consider your goals. These past few months have given us a great opportunity to hit reset and see what’s important to us. Rewrite your fitness goals and see if anything new has come up! I’ll be doing this with all my clients this month.⁣⁣

I’ve woke up feeling rather fresh today 👏🏽 I can not explain how much SLEEP can impact how you generally feel as well as how it can effect FAT LOSS!
.
Usually when I’m working my sleep gets impacted a lot, getting home late , very early starts, constantly on the go, teaching classes late - it all plays a part on how much and how well I sleep.😴
.
On thing I’ve been working on during lockdown is having a better sleep routine, making sure I get enough sleep and also really taking the time away from screen and the time to wind down before I go to sleep 🙌🏽
.
Having enough sleep can help you be more productive and also STOP cravings and you making bad choices with your nutrition the next day... so if you constantly finding your snacking and craving - take a look at your sleep routine as this could be preventing you reaching your goals 💤 .
.
Don’t forget I’m doing a LIVE lowerbody HIIT workout on my @dfinecoaching page @ 12:30 today 💓

P.s - yes that is tons of dry shampoo in my hair to try and disguise my roots 😂🤣🙈
