  • This post continues with how you can feel better during this crisis by developing both your self-esteem and your self-confidence. 
Here I continue with questions to help you list your 10 positive traits. 
Step 1: Go through a general list of positive traits, for example by making a search on the internet. 
Step 2: Write down all the positive traits from that list that you think you show at least sometimes. 
Step 3: Rank the positive traits you have identified that you feel reasonably sure that you have, but also those you feel more doubt about but would like to have. 
Step 4: See if you can recall a situation where you showed each of these traits. 
Remember: It does not matter that you sometimes do not show these characteristics because of the circumstances - either you have the ability or not. 
Sometimes we need to prioritize among our traits depending on the situation. It is both healthy and normal. 
This does not mean that you have lost all the other traits. 
The crucial task is to wisely balance all your characteristics against each other with regard to what you believe is the best in a specific situation.

  • Много лет собирала по крупицам себя. Была проделана большая работа над принятием, что стоило большого труда и неимоверных усилий. Помню, как я избегала зеркал, витрин на улице, в гостях, дома, любых поверхностей, где я могла отражаться. Я не разрешала себя фотографировать, потому что представить не могла, что кто-то увидит меня. Я чувствовала себя узником своего тела. Казалось, что оно не мое. Мне не то тело выдали при рождении. Особенно живот был больной и непринимаемой темой. И я знаю, что многие женщины не могут принять эту важную, нужную и одну из красивых частей себя. Перетягивают, худеют, неистово качают пресс, идут на операции. Мой живот меня бесил и я шла в это раздражение. Я говорила с ним. Я принимала его. 
Сейчас я снова поправилась. Я много ем и испытываю за это чувство вины, но не могу остановиться. Это обеспечивает мне безопасность. Сейчас вообще произошел очень большой откат. Кажется, что вся работа, которую я провернула "коту под хвост"
Вчера, когда скачивала это фото, я хотела в Фотошопе немножко подправить себе руку и бока, а ещё можно щеку чуть - чуть поправить. Но потом я остановилась и подумала, кого я хочу обмануть? Вас? Не думаю! Себя? Возможно. Что я изменю  фильтром "пластика"? Да ничего. Ничего не изменю. Мне остаётся только принянть это время и себя в нем. Даже мое бездействие, это процесс, который сейчас нужно просто принять, прожить и это тоже работа.

  • To people-please or not? That is the question. No seriously, the correct answer may a bit more nuanced than a flat out "Hell No!" Here's a quote by Oprah: "Don't live your life to suit other people." I 100% agree with this quote.
Here's a quote by Einstein: "Only a life lived for others is worth living." I also 100% agree with this.
So how do we reconcile both approaches and maintain a balance? How do we start living lives that are of value and service to those around us, while not necessarily needing those same people to approve of us and our actions?

We start by doing the opposite of what we usually do:
If you're someone with a tendency to be a doormat (aka the typical people-pleaser) then you need to start putting yourself and your own needs first.
If you tend to be more on the self-centered side, you could probably do with learning how to be more helpful to the people around you and "please" others more often. Not the standard defintion of "people-pleasing" I admit, but I do appreciate a positive spin on things.

ريشه اين قتل ها در روابط آزاد و برنامه دورهمى و فيلم فارسى ها و آهنگ هاى پاپ هستش
و اون مادر ى كه هيچ احترام و اراده و حقوق 
انسانى اى تو زندگيش نداره، 
بچه شو درست تربيت نكرده 
و اصلا ربطى به پدرى كه از سلامت روانى برخوردار نبوده نداره
اون پدر بعد از 13 سال يادش افتاده بچه شو 
تربيت كنه يهو فكر ميكنه چه تربيتى بالاتر از داس
با داس موهاى بچه شو ميكنه و گردنش رو ميبره
ربطى به اون پسر بيمارى كه از ساده بودن و تنها بودن دختر معصوم سو استفاده كرده هم نداره
ريشه اين قتل ها تو روابط آزاده بيايد صيغه بشيد
با صيغه شدن و كودك همسرى اين قتل ها از بين ميره
و در آخر مادران بى غيرت نذاريد دخترانتون روابط آزاد داشته باشن تا فساد و قتل هاى ناموسى از بين بره
به جاى روابط آزاد و كودك همسرى، صيغه رو بيشتر رواج بدين تا گناه كمتر بشه

  • What is that peculiar smudge on my nail & why, for me, does it represent the challenges of lockdown? 
Firstly, I’ll let you into a secret. Ordinarily, in non-lockdown times I pay to have my eyelashes & eyebrows dyed every 3 weeks. It just makes me feel a bit more ‘done!’ With all of the current zoom / teams action I am more aware of how I look to others whilst I talk & interact. So I thought I’d give home eyelash tinting a whirl. How hard can it be? Well. The fact that I managed to dye my fingernail really successfully but did not manage to so much as change the colour of my eyelashes by a single shade speaks volumes. It’s tricky to do yourself & it’s better to leave the experts to it. I think the same is true of so many aspects of lockdown. 
I’ve never trained or been interested in being a beautician, a teacher or even a full time, 100% of the time parent / chef. There’s a lot of pressure for us to feel we are effective educators / humans / partners / cleaners and yet no one seems to mind that I’m not an effective eyelash dyeing technician. People wouldn’t expect me to be. It’s not my job and I have no interest in it. I’m a Clinical Psychologist and I’m good at that. I’m trained & experienced in it and I love it! It takes a village to raise a child and this current focus of being everything for ourselves / our children / partners is a struggle at times.   • Everyone has scars. Each scar tells a different story. A story of how that bruise, which once ached so much, healed into a scar, which represents bravery. 
Everything takes time to heal, be it emotional bruises or physical. Healing is NOT linear. Healing isn’t supposed to be as simple as ‘putting a band aid’. Band aids don’t fix bullet holes.
 Each one of us has a different way to heal, a way to gather ourselves piece by piece and stand on our feet again. So, take a deep breath and figure out your bruises. Identify what pains and how it can be healed. Start working on yourself, bit by bit. Healing takes time, yes, but it takes effort too. It’s a multi stepped process, the first being identifying the pain. Healing shouldn’t be self consuming, it should be self liberating.

  • Taking myself back to a time where I felt I was closest to being true to myself... as part of life, we will jump in and out of experiences where we seek answers in life, try and understand parts of ourselves and try discover new ways of being... often we do this with the intention of leaving the past behind... and often people use the term ‘LET GO’ as if letting go is that simple.... however, I have learnt that whilst we do not need to carry with us all parts of ourselves or the past, we can make sure we do not neglect and deny that there may be some parts of ourselves, that we aren’t so comfortable with, or want people to see or know about... and that’s okay... there is no SHAME in who you are. Try and make yourself aware of what makes you uncomfortable, and why, ask if yourself if you are able to process the discomfort, what it means to you, and how it makes you feel or think... your mind body and soul are yours... you are ultimately the one that decides ... #Mindchitchats #Tbt #psychology #care #neglect #bewhoyouwannabe
