  • Well, it wasn’t what I expected for the summer…I had my first virtual basketball camp this week...Yes, it was because of coronavirus that it went online, but with unexpected challenges came a rewarding surprise…Again, I was fortunate to spend 2 days with kids from Chicago who are the next in line basketball enthusiasts and players…I, and a few friends, did what we do when not playing basketball…We talked about the game of basketball…It was a wonderful chance to reconnect with my former high school coach, Bob Curran…Thanks coach for instilling the “BobBy Basics” of basketball...to this day I remember them and apply them! … …Also, Abi Abass shared some of his experiences…He’s a great example of hard work paying off when you are determined and committed…Day 2, Justin Williams joined and added his philosophies, many of which I share…We talked about how Basketball IQ has helped us all adapt and extend playing careers…The great players of basketball all had work ethics, passion, studied the game and put in the hard work…In life and basketball, you have to be ready to adapt and adjust to different styles…🏀🤙🏾Things can change just like that…So, the virtual camp was something different and new, but in the end, the main benefits were we tried a different approach and learned how to make a difficult period of time a bit better. 🤙🏾 … #DavidMossGallery…#MossMoments…#BasketballCamp…#VirtualCamp…#DavidMossBasketballCamp2020…#HappyChildrenMakeMeHappy…#BasketballIsLife…#BeYourOwnLeader…#BYOL

… #DavidMossGallery…#MossMoments…#Collaboration…#HappyChildrenMakeMeHappy…#BasketballIsLife…#Italy...#TuttoAndraBene…#BeYourOwnLeader…#BYOL

  • It’s been a trying period in time. All of Italy has been in quarantine for a month. At times, it feels like it will never end and we are faced with the unknown...What is really going on? … It’s been a moment of reflection and self analyzation...of communication, conversation, and strengthening relations...It’s been a multitude of things all from the comforts of my home. The irony is over the last 5-6 years, I’ve become more of a homebody...And I enjoy that moment of solitude at home. Now, here we have countless moments of solitude, and I want to go outside, move around, move my legs...Some might say a semblance of normalcy.. … I do know the one thing that serves true...In this moment, whether you’ve been affected and lost a loved one or it hasn’t affected you at all, and you don’t think it’s serious, the earth has told us it doesn’t need us to survive. … We need the earth...We must protect the earth and the universe. Whether you believe in a higher power or that it’s man-made is a matter of opinion...The earth goes on without us so we must respect it...Cherish it. … I give my love and support to the people of Brescia!! Most of all, the people of Italy have been a great part of my life for over 10 years...I’m still here, I have friends still here, my son is here, and this is my home...Sooner or later, this will all be taken care of...Stay strong, stay safe...Andrà tutto bene!! 🤙🏾🤙🏾🦁 … #DavidMossGallery...#MossMoments...#BresciaIsBeautiful...#Brescia...#RespectEarth...#ProtectEarth...#Coronavirus...#ForzaBrescia...#ForzaItalia…#Italy

  • Who’s the greatest American sports professional athlete? … That’s a debate that means different things to people...Every generation has their own phenomena. There are many who contribute to sports and impact society far beyond their physical talents. Here are a few more athletes during their peak from 1980 - 2020 who made such a mark with their legacy. (Article link in bio and below) … Kobe Bryant - Basketball …He was the “Black Mamba” that won 5 NBA Championships, voted on the All-Star team 15 times, was an 18-time All-Star, and won 2 gold medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics, as a member of the U.S. national team. As an artist, he won the Academy Award for the 2017 film “Dear Basketball” Best Animated Short Film. Speaking of him in the past tense; still seems so unbelievable... … Jackie Joyner-Kersee - Track and Field and Basketball …She’s considered one of the all-time greatest athletes in the heptathlon and excelled at the long jump. She won 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals while competing in 4 Olympics. The magazine Sports Illustrated for Women voted Joyner-Kersee the Greatest Female Athlete of All-Time. Also, she’s an advocate for children’s education, women’s rights, and racial equality. … Michael Jordan - Basketball and Baseball …Another basketball legend and hero to many played 15 seasons in the NBA. The Chicago Bulls had "three-peat" winning championship titles from 1991-1993. He’s globally recognized for basketball and as a brand. ESPN named him the greatest North American athlete of the 20th century in 1999. Everybody wants to “Be Like Mike”, but most will never reach his icon level...There’s not enough time or space to list all of Michael Jordan’s achievements or his philanthropic contributions. … Tiger Woods - Golf …He made golf interesting and an option for black people and other minorities. For over 16 years, he has denominated the sport as an athlete and social influence. He’s won 82 official PGA Tour events and 15 majors with the lowest career scoring average in PGA Tour history. Also, he is 1 of 5 to achieve the Career Grand Slam, which is winning all 4 professional major championships. … Expand your mind...Discover something new

  • “Do you know what my favorite part of the game is? The opportunity to play.” - Mike Singletary ... I’m thankful to play the game I love but losing, it sucks, there’s no doubt about it. Especially when you come up short for your goals or desires, but that’s life, that’s sports. One thing is certain; when you give all you have and leave it all out on the floor, there’s no need for excuses. ... We fought all game long, we fought until the end, we never gave up...Sometimes that’s not enough. We move forward, we learn from what went wrong, we correct what we can control, and we get ready for the rest of the season. ... Thanks to all who always support us win or lose...It may take some more hard work but we will bounce back!! There’s still a great opportunity to make this a special season. Life is all about perspective. 76 - 73...#ForzaLeonessa #KeepGoing
