You may say there have been violent revolutions that won, and I say ultimately they lost. The Bolsheviks, Mao, Castro, the rein of terror were all ultimately unnecessarily violent and immoral.
To believe in the principle of non-violence as my father, Gandhi, and MLK did, is not a position of privilege or race. It is a philosophy rooted in Buddhism, the religion of my ancestors. It does not mean you cannot defend yourself against the initiation of force, it means initiating violence against the innocent is wrong—the Golden Rule, or ‘do unto others’ also allows for self defense. Don’t be afraid to speak for non-violence. It does not mean you don’t support those who are oppressed, angry, or suffering. It simply means you do not believe hurting the innocent will solve any problems, and that it will only make those problems bigger. History is littered with examples of violent revolutions that did more harm than good, (the Bolsheviks, the Maoists), and inversely it is littered with examples of revolutions that were won non-violently, (Gandhi, King, Rosa Parks). I do not believe you can dismiss the philosophy of non-violence by saying ‘you’re the wrong race’ or ‘you’re the wrong class’ or ‘you just don’t get it.’ Buddhism and ‘do unto others’ are rooted in some of humanity’s greatest achievements, you can’t write them off with what are ultimately superficial observations. Police violence is wrong, government violence is wrong, and civilian violence is also wrong. Violence begets violence, and my belief runs much deeper than the color, or lack thereof, of my skin. #blm
F*cking incel morons telling me not to promote the ‘plandemic’ should try living with an elderly person they actually care about. Tell me not to wear a mask THEN. Idiots. Keep sitting at home trying not to wank to porn and praying to Jesus and thinking the earth is flat.
Time to head into the town...(bought this mask in early January because I didn’t believe the WHO or the CCP).
Did we invent ‘BaSKATEball?’ (I have been quarantining with this person so don’t get all worried, we are hyper social distancing as you can see no one for miles).

Decided to finally put on clothes again. (Photo by @charlottekempmuhl ) and thanks @leica_camera for this amazing SL, (sorry for the IG filter, a bit sacrilegious, but deal with it). Oh and thanks @bar13thflooraustin for the bitchin’ t-shirt. While I’m at it, love you @theblackangels
Happy Mother’s Day @yokoonoofficial (to whom I am understandably bias), and all the mothers of the Universe including Mother Earth (although she already has her own day but there are frankly too many of these official days so I suggest consolidating). Spent the night making this makeshift sign, not much else we can do in quarantine (we tried inflating surgical gloves as balloons but it doesn’t work like in the cartoons for those of you thinking of trying!)
I was lucky enough to meet you a couple of times. Grew up listening to your 45s in dad’s jukebox. You told me it was really you who invented Rock n’ Roll. Rest In Peace.
