May 16, 2020 Today marks the end of our 2 month long lockdown, though some areas are still under MECQ. In those 2 months, we have all experienced the effects of the virus not just to our health, but also to our livelihood. Still it has also shown us the best in humanity and how we could all be a blessing in this time of uncertainty. As much as I want to throw a party with my family and friends, I still think everyones safety is the main priority. Instead let me share what we have been doing the past months. Thank you to our friends, sponsors, donors and partners, together with @byahengbusog we were able to give out 100,000 meals to date to our frontliners, skeletal workforce and stranded kababayans. This is still for me, the best birthday gift ever 🥰
Speaking of our farm, heres a throwback to my probinsya days. When I was growing up, we had no internet, no phone and our TV had only 2 channels 😲 , and since Im an only child, I had no playmate at home. So my only hobby was to read books, study and well, study 😝 But I also enjoyed playing outdoors with my cousins. Some of my favorites are Piko, Tumbang Preso, Tagu-taguan, Langit Lupa, Shato, Tubig Tubigan and 10-20 I was so dark and skinny from playing under the heat of the sun. Not to mention the many "peklat" on my legs from insect bites and from falling many times, which I always get scolded right after (yung nasaktan ka na nga, napagalitan ka pa 🤪). I remembered my mom would be very angry with me everytime I would play outside (I didnt know that time that she was grooming me pala to become a beauty queen 😆) But still, those were pretty cool childhood memories. Simple things that I wish my kids would get to enjoy too 🥰 P.S. Kumusta naman daw ung bangs ko dito? 🤣 #AngProbinsyana
"You reap, what you sow" LITERALLY 😝 Prior to moving to Manila, I lived in a farm. We would never run out of food to eat. Everything is available in our backyard, from vegetables, to fruits and even meat. I remembered, we would only go to the supermarkets, once a month! Our backyard here may not be as big as the ones at home, but Im still grateful we get to grow food. Our harvest from our little backyard farm became part of the 1000+ meals sent to our frontliners and essential workers thru @byahengbusog 🥰 This post is dedicated to my dad, a farmer and to my mom, who always loved the farm life 🤗🤗🤗
April 27, 2008 Exactly 12 years ago, I graduated from the U.P. College of Architecture. I still cant believe how long its been!!! My college days so far have been the best years of my academic life. Missing the best batch ever 🤗🤗🤗 Sharing to you my grad pics which I didnt use for my yearbook, eh kasi naman, uso yata encantadia nung time na to 😆
What better way to welcome sunday than to share our blessings to others. I am beyond grateful to take part once again thru @projectpearls in helping our kababayans in tondo who recently lost their homes to the fire. This will not be possible without the help of our friends, @_joantheexplorer_ @iemawes0me @weichingrams, Danica Chua and @smilee_apparel Special thanks also to @donamariarice and styro tech corporation and to @kimsuiza @sheryldeleon for the canned goods from Century Tuna. And lastly to our @byahengbusog team for waking up early to prepare their meals. My heart is full 🥰
Pampagood vibes this sunday morning 😛 c/o Nathan Lee... Whats so funny anak? 😆
TBT One of my fave projects in UP Arki where we had to make a bridge out of barbeque sticks and tie wires while applying the structural concepts we learned in class. To get a passing mark, the bridge should be able to carry the members of the team without collapsing. How cool is that 🤩 Ikaw anong kwentong college mo?
I grew up to be really "grade conscious" or "GC" for short. It didnt matter if I really learned anything as long as I get the grade, I was fine 😝 But now, I am more than certain that grades are not everything. Grades should be a byproduct of learning. And what you do with that knowledge is MUCH more important than what is on your report card... On a serious note though: Sino ba tong Prof. ko sa History of Architecture? Panira ng transcript eh! 😂
How I look vs how I actually feel 🤭
